Psychotherapy, also known as talk therapy, is a method of treating mental health issues by talking with a mental health providers. It aims to help individuals understand their feelings, thoughts, and behaviors, and develop coping strategies to deal with various mental health issues.
It costs $160 per session.
Psychotherapy is covered by many insurance companies. However, this is something you will have to confirm with your insurance company.
Unfortunately, we cannot offer direct billing at this time.
There are many types of therapy that might be helpful to you. Together, we can choose an appropriate modality. Some examples of types of therapy that I can offer are emotion-focused therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, dialectical behavioural therapy, and solutions focused therapy.
Carewood Therapy is currently offers virtual therapy services. However, if you are located near Ottawa, Ontario and would like to arrange for outdoor walk and talk sessions, please inquire about this possibility.
Sessions last 45 to 50 minutes, with the remainder of the hour being used by your therapist to make notes about the session.
